A furnished outdoor classroom and a stage for TEMPLE MILL Primary School, Rochester, Kent.
The classroom is a large bespoke structure measuring 7.5m x 4m with apex roof topped with lead detailing to the ridge, a decked floor and half height palisade style walls. Fixed tables and benches will seat up to 30 children and ensure the space is an area for learning but with a more relaxed feel that will be appreciated by all users and may aid P.S.E development even during formal sessions. This pretty resource will be even more attractive as it settles and becomes an every day part of the school.
The Stage, at 5.5m x 3.5m with built in seating, a panelled backdrop, sloping wings and planters is large enough for assemblies, plays, concerts and all sorts of role play and performance without being overwhelming. Thus even younger children can be encouraged to take part in aspects of the communication, language and literacy elements of their learning programme and, of course, have fun whilst doing so.
