ARTIFICIAL GRASS
Artificial grass always looks lush and green and of course has the added benefit of never needing mowing. Contours and slopes are no barrier to this surface that can be laid in almost any situation even over existing tarmac and concrete. A critical fall height of up to 2m can be achieved and of course insect nests should not be a problem.

Artificial grass was used quite extensively within the large project for this school. Their wish was for a sensory garden and thus part of the requirement was for differing quiet spaces, visual and tactile textures - and of course year round access. The safety properties of this material in terms of impact absorption was not important but a critical fall height up to 2m would be possible where necessary. |

Removing some of the bushy undergrowth and thinning the tree branches opened up an area that had previously been dank and dark and rather uninviting. Blacklands School now has useable seating and the gentle slope clothed with artificial grass is perfect for meeting with friends reading a book. |
