TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR ALL INSTALLATIONS

To be read in conjunction with any quotation

Validity
The quotation is valid for a period of 3 months from the date
on the letter unless there is a product price increase imposed by our suppliers.

Specification.
All our products are manufactured under the ISO9002 Quality Assurance system. Play Units have to be manufactured, installed and maintained in accordance with specific requirements laid down by European Standard BSEN1176 (General Safety Requirements) and BSEN1177 (Impact Absorbing Surface). Once the equipment has been installed, conforming to these regulations, we strongly recommend the frequent inspection and maintenance of all equipment including an annual safety check. We will contact you prior to the installation anniversary to offer our services regarding annual safety checks. Following completion of the installation, leaflets covering design, manufacture and installation guidelines on inspection – with easy to use record forms – will be passed to you.

All timber will be pressure treated with Tanalith E, an environmentally friendly treatment, which is EEC recommended for use in children’s playgrounds. All timber to be planed surface. All timber upright supports will be fully excavated and concreted in place. Where the quotation includes a play bark or rubber chippings surface, a weed suppressing membrane will be used.

CRB Checks.
It is the policy of Plane & Simple Ltd to check with the Criminal Records Bureau all members of staff who may be required to work in locations where children may be present.

On Site Requirements
We will require access to an exterior water supply.
We will bring a generator for power if a power source is not available.
Access for our vehicles and materials into a location must be adequate. In the event of any materials having to be brought through a building or awkward access, we cannot be held responsible for any damage that results, but would reassure you that every care would be afforded.
We require all day parking for our vehicles. If we have to relocate our vehicle(s) far away or pay for day time parking this will be charged in addition to the quote.
Access to a toilet is favourable – if we need to hire a temporary site toilet please advise us – it will be charged for in addition.

Temporary Fencing
If you wish us to use metal temporary barrier fence panels (Heras style) to enclose our work site please advise us before the start of work. This will be charged in addition unless already discussed and part of the quote.
We will provide red tape perimeter fencing as a matter of course, which is priced within the above quote.

Excavation
If excavation is required for your particular project, we have presumed within our quote that the under soil structure is loose (easy dig). If we encounter any obstruction (stone, heavy clay, tarmac, concrete etc) we will make an additional charge for added labour time and/or hire of specialist equipment.

Service Cables Drains, Pipes, Underground Water and Springs
In the case of installations, we require to be advised of the location of any service cables, pipes and drains (gas, electricity, water etc) and of any underground water systems and springs within or close to the excavation area. If this information is not available however, although all due care will be taken during excavation, Plane & Simple Ltd cannot be held responsible for any damage thereof or inability to continue if unsuitable underground conditions are encountered. Should it be necessary to involve a service company to repair any damage, the customer will be required to cover the cost of the repair.

Drawings and Plans
We have in some instances provided some visual information (plan etc) to support our quote. Any such material along with the written quote remain the property of Plane & Simple Ltd and cannot be passed on to or used by any other person/third party.

Planning Consent
In some locations an installation will require planning permission. If unsure, advice should be sought by the customer from their local planning authority. If instructed to proceed with an installation, Plane & Simple Ltd will presume that the necessary planning consideration has been investigated and obtained if necessary by the customer.

SURFACES

Safagrass Installations
NB - slope and undulations of the grass surface.
The area is not levelled prior to installation and is therefore not a surface that gives an absolutely level smooth surface. When the job is complete and before the grass is established the matted area will appear slightly uneven.
A quote will not include levelling of the site unless specifically requested by the customer.

Wetpour Installations
Please be aware that the laying of rubber wetpour is dependent on favourable weather conditions. In extreme cold or hot weather, the chemical binding process is affected, and in wet conditions, the installation cannot be carried out. These restrictions may therefore affect a scheduled installation date and a delay in completing the work may occur. The surface cannot be used for 48 hours after installation.

Artificial Grass
This is a 50mm deep multi-toned, textured synthetic grass consisting of soft polypropylene fibres infilled with special sterile recycled rubber granules. As some excavation is undertaken prior to installation, minor irregularities are eliminated although the material will still follow the original undulations and contours.

Changes
Minor alterations to the project may have to be made during installation to overcome particular difficulties encountered. Any necessary changes will be discussed fully with the client.

Payment Time and Terms
We require a 50% deposit at the time of confirmation of your order. This can be by cheque, cash, debit or credit card. The balance of payment will be due on the actual day of completion of the work. We will supply a VAT invoice. If we consider that the work will last several days or be of a high value we may require stage payments. Payment by bank transfer, cheque or debit/credit card is accepted. Please be aware that a commission charge of 1.65% will be levied for payment(s) made by credit card. Title of goods does not pass to the customer until the invoice(s) has been paid in full.

Insurance
Plane & Simple are fully insured carrying both Employers and Public Liability insurance.
However it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all product is covered by their own insurance in respect of damage or theft from the first day of installation.

Construction Industry Contracts
We reserve the right to be advised if any project falls within the Construction Industry Scheme before we decide to accept the contract. Above payment terms apply. (No customer’s own payment terms will be accepted).

Repairs
If a repair to a previously carried out installation is necessary (either to an existing structure or newly installed) and the cause of the damage is severe weather or by some other means, a charge will be made to cover labour and material costs.

Weather Conditions
In extreme wet, cold or dry weather conditions where a delay in completing any work may be necessary, an extra charge will be made to return to site to complete the installation when conditions have improved.

We hope you will wish to proceed with our company and look forward to being able to provide an excellent service.
