BURSTED WOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL, BEXLEYHEATH
From spare space to beautiful, peaceful space that encourages observation and investigation of the natural world.
There is so much in this beautiful garden but it looks neither crowded nor cluttered and it will only improve with time and sympathetic tending. Bird boxes and Bug Observatories are snuggled among trees and foliage to encourage full occupancy and the Dipping Pond will soon attract pond creatures to live amongst the plants. The large wood sculpture and small sculptural boulders have been placed with an artistic eye as has the living Willow Arch that will shade the pommel seats and a living Willow Tunnel that connects two bark paths. As the conifers, planted in a snail spiral grow and mature, the Buddy Bench will occupy a cool and shady spot. There simply isn’t room here to showcase the other attractive features such as the stone leaf paving and other, smaller sculptural elements or the Round the Tree Seat nestled beneath a newly planted young tree.
