Keeping chickens is easy and very satisfying. They have endearing characters, require little attention and will reward you with fresh eggs and hours of entertainment in return for a little food, water and protection from predators.
Our wooden chicken coops are built to last, easy to clean and require little maintenance. Whether you want to keep a couple of hens in your back garden or plan a bigger flock we have coops to suit and runs to keep them safe when they can’t free range.
We are not expert at keeping chickens and ducks but we assume you have already made the decision to keep poultry or fowl and are here to find them a home.

Easy cleaning of their home will be one of your big considerations and protecting your flock both from predators and the elements another. The chicken coops are manufactured using the same 19mm pressure treated timber and feature wire mesh ventilation panels at the apex of each gable to provide adequate fresh air. The easily removed sides make cleaning as easy as possible and a handle for each corner is provided to aid re-location when necessary. The floor is made from WPB ply-board, a robust and moisture resistant board that sits on two bearers to keep the coop off the ground. Roomy nest boxes with hasp and staple fixings and plenty of perch space complete their compact and bijou abode.

Please note that we do not supply a mesh “floor” to the run. Whilst this means you must make arrangements to keep your birds safe from predators, it prevents your birds from damaging their feet when scratching and trying to make a dip for their essential dust bath.

Available for delivery to all areas in England and Wales (contact us for details to other areas), items are despatched in large but easy to manage packages for simple home assembly. You will require a cordless screwdriver.

Wooden Duck Houses

Not all ducks need a pond but they do need a safe place for the night. They can make quite a mess so an easy clean home is essential. Made from the same superior materials as our chicken houses, choose a house to suit the size and number of birds you are planning to home.

Our ducks houses are an adaptation of the sturdy chicken houses so you can be sure we have used the same high quality 19mm pressure treated timber for walls and roof with a WBP board floor that is set on bearers to keep the house off the ground. For ducks there is a large door on the side but no pop hole and of course perches are not required nor nest boxes since the ducks will lay their eggs on the house floor.

Ducks are messy creatures but with both sides of their house being removable, cleaning is made as easy as possible and roof apexes have meshed ventilation “windows” to ensure a good air-flow.

Man’s best friend is often found in front of the fire or on the sofa but when you need a kennel or a run, choose one that is sturdily built and provides a comfortable alternative.
Good quality, 19mm thick pressure treated timber is used for walls and roof with WBP board for the floor set on two bearers to keep the kennel off the ground. This weight of timber allows the manufacture of a good quality house that will last and protect your pet, whilst allowing you to relocate the kennel easily.

Small pets are deserving of a warm, dry and comfortable house too. If you can’t position the hutch inside a run, attach one so that your pet has easy access to grass and sunshine and the opportunity for some exercise. As with all our animal housing, high quality materials are used throughout. These runs are designed to fit against the hutches and may not fit to an existing hutch.
All runs are 1.5m long and feature a removable lid and a door each side. These runs are secured against the hutch with hooks and eyes and come complete with a blocking wedge to locate beneath the front of the house. Again manufactured using sturdy, pressure treated timber and British made 25mm x 13mm, 19g galvanised steel mesh to last. The runs do not have a mesh floor which could damage your pet’s paws and claws, so you will need to ensure they can’t escape.
