BEDGEBURY FOREST
Reflecting the maritime connection enjoyed by Kent and Sussex, a shipwreck was entirely appropriate for an area of the play trail at Bedgebury Pinetum, Kent. This scheme employing timber and sand to sit comfortably within in its environment is married with other nautical play items such as the Crows Nest rope climber and sea themed seating to creating a special play ground.
Clearing of the area prior to groundworks and landscaping being undertaken was a task in itself, but from it emerged a wonderful natural oasis. Although this is a spectacular ship-wreck, we can arrange for a more modest ship or boat to be moored in your play area - broadside of a jetty if you like. Or blur the boundaries like Frittenden School who have a play boat that is also a stage.
However, even bigger and complete with an entire quayside play area is possible just as long has you have the space to harbour it !
